Hmmm... sorry I haven't written much recently. Christmas was nice and relaxing but, almost as soon as I returned to work, my mother was taken ill with peritonitis. Really not nice, especially the long surgical exploration that the doctors had to undertake to get there. She's getting better now, thank goodness, but it was a bit touch-and-go for a while. Anyway, all things being well, mum will be released from captivity today and can come home.

With whizzing back and forth into London to visit her, work remaining frantic, singing commitments and fixing a blog and software for ~rampantmonkey's immense adventure-of-a-lifetime trip, it's taken until this last weekend to remember that the sun shines during the day and that I have a life etc. etc.

Hope to calm down a bit soon and start posting more.
